How it works
Level Up is a formal mentoring scheme. The programme is designed to help young people in Iraq, Iran and Syria get the support they need to succeed in tech-based careers.
It aims to help:
- develop confidence to overcome barriers
- increase skills and knowledge
Applications to join the first group of mentors and mentees will close on Saturday 12th September.
Are you a mentor?
If you are an experienced tech professional living in the UK and can commit at least 1 hour a month for 6 months, to helping a young developer in Iraq, Iran or Syria, please apply. You will be helping coach the future tech leaders of the middle east.
Do you want a mentor?
If you live in Iraq, Iran or Syria and you are 18 or above, you can apply to get a mentor. You do not need any special experience to get a mentor, you just need to speak ok english, be motivated to learn, and to commit to the sessions over the next 6 months.
“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.”
